Entry Classes

These are new Entry Classes for GOLDEN.

Every player character must belong to an Entry Class when play begins for the character. The Entry Classes could be used as the only classes in a certain type of GOLDEN game, but really they are a way of generating some flavour for the character, which can then progress in another, more fleshed out, class of the player’s choice.

All Entry Classes use the standard XPT chart. Each of these Entry Classes is effectively a subtype of a single generic class. Each of the Entry Classes begins with a Bonus Feat, in addition to the single Feat and set of skills that can be chosen at level one. In further addition to this, Negative Feats allow even more Feats to be chosen at the time of character creation.

Each Entry Class has a mandatory Bonus Feat for each of the class subtypes. Also, to balance this Feat, the player must choose for their character a Negative Feat (q.v.) from the list indicated. The various Negative Feat lists are immediately after the Entry Class lists in the GOLDEN sourcebook. For any Bonus Feat, if the character does not qualify for the Feat by reason of statistics or prerequisites for the Feat, all such prerequisites are automatically conferred on the character as well to the minimum required level.

After an Entry Class is chosen and the rest of the character process is followed, a player can choose another class to have a level in. This will help make superheroic and tough characters to begin play with. The other class could be any that the GM approves, either from fantasy d20 sources or anywhere else the GM permits.

Alien Contactee Telekinesis Uncanny 1d8

The Alien Contactee is a person who has been stolen away by space aliens, whether willingly or not, and experimented upon. The stress of this experience triggers psychokinetic powers in the character.

The Alien Contactee must be Chaotic in alignment. The Social Status of the Alien Contactee is -2.

Evil Headmistress                  Skill Focus (Pick Pocket)         Empire Builder                          1d6

St. Trinian’s is an English girl’s public school with a “revered” heritage as being the single greatest den of iniquity ever produced by the Empire. Girls of St. Trinians have gone on to be harem wives, safecrackers, strippers, enforcers for the mob and even a Prime Minister of England. St. Trinian’s girls are the daughters of organised crime figures, turf accountants, heavies and super villains. As can be expected, a fair number of politician’s daughters find their way to St. Trinian’s.

Only the most depraved (but sweet-seeming) of hardened female criminals can even contemplate ruling the circle of hell that is St. Trinian’s. The constant lack of money, the violent staff and students – these are small compensations for the arduous task of educating young “ladies” in all the gentle arts – how to disable hockey opponents, how to place an accelerator bet on the dogs, how to provide adequate alibi for a fellow criminal… The Evil Headmistress Entry Class must be evil in alignment as a consequence. The Social Status of the Evil Headmistress is -10.

Gorillagram                            Multidexterity                           Monstrous Appearance            1d10

The Gorillagram is a gorilla-like entity that usually lives in a large city, the child of mysterious parents and the product of a mysterious event. Gorillagrams can speak the human languages as per a normal character, but their appearance is closely similar to that of a man wearing a gorilla suit. Their Multidexterity is a product of their prehensile feet and agile use of legs. The Social Status of the Gorillagram is 1.

St. Trinian’s 4th Former         Dodging Movement                  Monstrous Appearance            1d4

Trinian’s.

4th Formers are the little girls who are the bulk of the prison er… school population. They look disgusting and their behaviour matches their appearance perfectly. 4th Formers often leave St. Trinian’s and make their way in the world as match girls, runners for the mob or professional truants. No 4th Former can begin the game with an age greater than 15. The Social Status of the 4th Former is -10.

St. Trinian’s 6th Former         Sex Appeal                              Auto-Ecdysiast                         1d8

Trinian’s.

St. Trinian 6th Formers are all 17˝ years old. They are alluring creatures whose attractive physical forms belie the depths of evil that most of them hold within. 6th Formers concentrate their efforts on feathering their nest for when the school kicks them- er… when they graduate with honours. As such they devote themselves to having a good time and making large bets on sure things at the horse races or the dog track.
